Someone asked me on Instagram. 💭“What’s your purpose? What’s the main mission behind your page?”

I love this question. Meaning is everything to me — especially in this often strange and superficial world of social media.

Just before Covid hit, I was planning to open a small bistro in Berlin, serving Ashkenazi classics. Unfortunately, that dream had to be put on hold, and I continued working in gastronomy. But the idea never left me.

Lili Lantos: Why I started Lili Loves Kosher

A dream that never really left ✨

I dreamt of creating a space where I could share the beauty and timelessness of Hungarian Jewish cuisine, while also staying open to recipes and inspirations from around the world. A place where tradition and curiosity could exist side by side — just like they do in my own kitchen.

Why this felt urgent 💙

When October 7 happened, and I witnessed how quickly global sentiment turned against the Jewish people, I felt a deep urgency to respond.

Not with anger — but with what I know best: food, care, and a desire to make the world a little better, one meal at a time.

What this page is really about 🕯️

Through this page, I want to show who we truly are and honor our rich, complex, and beautiful heritage.

If I had to summarize Lili Loves Kosher in one sentence, it would be this:

Bringing kosher food closer to the people, preserving its history — and having fun with it. ❤️
