Duck Legs One-Pot 🦆

Trust me, after this, making duck will never feel intimidating again! This duck legs one-pot is surprisingly easy… all you need is a little patience and a hungry crowd to enjoy its glory. ❤️ Oh! And it’s perfect for Pesach.

Here’s how 💃🏻

Ingredients

🦆 4 duck legs

🧄 1 large head of garlic

🧅 2 large onions

🥔 4–5 potatoes

🧂 Salt & pepper

🫙 Goose fat or oil



Method

1. 🧄 Peel all the garlic cloves (from one whole head).

2. 🦆 Clean the duck legs and pat them dry.

3. 🔪 Cut small pockets into the meat and stuff garlic cloves inside.

4. 🧂 Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

5. 🔥 Heat a little goose fat in a skillet or pan.

6. 🦆 Place the duck legs skin-side down and fry until golden.

7. 🔄 Turn them over, then add chopped onions and the remaining garlic around them.

8. 💧 Add a splash of water.

9. ⏳ Cover and let simmer on low heat for about 2 hours, until the duck legs are tender.


🥔 Potatoes & Finishing

10. 🔪 Prep the potatoes, cut into wedges or slices (your choice!).

11. 🧂 Season with salt and pepper, then coat generously with the duck juices.

12. 🔥 Bake in the oven for 30–40 minutes until halfway cooked

13. 🦆 Place the duck legs on top, add the onions and garlic, and roast for another 30 minutes.

14. ✨ Cook until everything is beautifully golden and crispy.
