A Hungarian classic that makes everyone happy. ✨So easy to make and perfect for the gloomy weather.ā˜ļøāœØā€ØI still remember helping my grandma open fresh peas (and her yelling at me not to eat them raw).šŸ˜…


Frozen peas work just as well, and trust me, this will quickly become part of your soup rotation. ā¤ļø

Here’s how šŸ’ƒšŸ»


Ingredients:

šŸ„• 2 medium carrots


🌿 2 medium parsnips


šŸ… 1 tomato


šŸ§… 1 onion


🄬 Half a kohlrabi

šŸ«‘ Half or 1 whole paprika


🟢 Green peas


🌿 Fresh parsley


šŸ„„ 2 tbsp flour


🄚 2 eggs


šŸ«’ Vegetable oil


šŸŒ¶ļø Paprika powder


šŸ§‚ Salt & pepper


Method:

  1. Heat the olive oil, then add 1 tbsp flour.


  2. When golden, add chopped veggies and stir for a few minutes.


  3. Add paprika šŸŒ¶ļø and stir again.


  4. Pour in water, add tomato, onion, and paprika, and season with salt & pepper; let the veggies cook.


  5. Meanwhile, make the dumplings: whisk together 2 eggs, šŸ„„ flour, šŸ§‚ salt, pepper & 🌿 parsley.


  6. When veggies are almost done, add peas + parsley + dumplings (drop spoon by spoon).


  7. Let it all simmer until the dumplings are cooked through, and you’re ready! šŸ²šŸ’›
