"Lecsó" means the actual taste of summer for me. Tomato season is soon in bloom so I prepared my variation of this Hungarian classic one-pot dish.

Here’s how to make Hungarian Lecsó Lili's style. 💃🏻

Ingredients:

🧅 1kg onions

🍅 4 tomatoes

🌶️ 1kg paprika peppers

🧄 3 cloves garlic

🥚 8 eggs

🧂 Salt & pepper

🪿 Oil or fat (I used goose fat)

Method:

  1. Chop all the veggies to your liking. Beat the eggs and set aside.

  2. Heat the oil or fat in a large pan, add the onions with a good pinch of salt, and sauté until soft and fragrant.

  3. Add the peppers, tomatoes, garlic, paprika powder, and black pepper.

  4. Let everything cook on medium-low heat until the vegetables soften and melt together beautifully. 🍅✨

  5. Usually, I don’t add water, but it depends on how juicy your vegetables are.

  6. Once everything is nicely cooked down, pour in the eggs and stir until creamy, combined, and slightly fried. 🍳

Serve with pickles and fresh bread for the full experience. 🥒🍞

Enjoy ❤️❤️❤️
