Tarte à l’Oignon, aka French onion tart 🧅

Every summer, we spend time in the South of France, and one of my favorite dishes to order at Club 55 is their tarte à l’oignon (onion tart). It’s so simple yet so delicious that I love to recreate it at home. The best part is that it’s incredibly easy 🙏🏼 especially if you use premade dough (like I do in this video) 🤷🏻♀️ Trust me, it’ll quickly become one of your go-to brunch favorites ❤️

Here’s how 💃🏻
Ingredients:
🥧 1 roll of quiche dough
🧅 5 medium onions
🧈 Butter
🥚 3 eggs
🥛 Splash of heavy cream
🇮🇹 Parmesan
🌿 1 tsp cumin
🧂 1 tsp salt
🍃 1 tsp Provence spice mix
⚫ 1 tsp pepper
Method:
Slowly caramelize onions in butter 🧈
Season with salt, pepper & spices 🌿
Remove from heat 🛑
Whisk eggs + cream, then stir in onions
Spread the dough in a baking form
Pour in the onion mix, and fold the edges
Brush sides with egg for a golden finish
Sprinkle with grated parmesan
Bake 30–40 mins at 180°C
Serve with fresh veggies 🥗 & a spoon of sour cream 🤍
Enjoy ❤️
